About Texas Brick Lady™
Bricklady is not here to make construction look pretty.
She’s here to make it right.

We believe craftsmanship still matters.
That shortcuts cost more than doing it correctly the first time.
That honesty outlasts hype.
And that respect—on the jobsite and off—is non-negotiable.
Bricklady stands for:

-
Work done with intention
-
Standards that don’t bend under pressure
-
Truth, even when it’s uncomfortable
-
Education that empowers, not intimidates

We don’t sell fear.
We don’t chase trends.
We don’t defend bad work just because “that’s how it’s always been.”

We believe homeowners deserve clarity.
Tradespeople deserve respect.
And the industry deserves accountability.

This isn’t rebellion for rebellion’s sake.
It’s a refusal to accept lazy practices, misinformation, and lowered expectations.

Built right isn’t a slogan.
It’s a responsibility.

🧱 Bricklady
No fluff. No shortcuts. No apologies.

Meet the Brick Lady

Tiffany Tillema is a masonry professional, historic restoration specialist, writer, and educator with decades of hands‑on experience in the field. She has worked on traditional brick construction, complex restoration projects, and large‑scale commercial and residential work—giving her a practical understanding of what succeeds on a jobsite and what quietly causes failure years later.
Her reputation was built the hard way: through physical work, problem‑solving under pressure, and navigating an industry that does not often make space for women—especially in masonry.

Why Texas Brick Lady Exists

Too many brick buildings are damaged by well‑intended but incorrect repairs.
Too many homeowners are sold solutions without understanding the long‑term consequences.
Too many owner‑builders are left to coordinate complex projects without reliable guidance.
Texas Brick Lady™ exists to change that.
This platform focuses on explaining the why behind masonry decisions—materials, methods, sequencing, and coordination—so people can make informed choices before mistakes are locked into brick and mortar.

Areas of Focus

Historic Brick Restoration
Education and guidance rooted in traditional masonry practices, material compatibility, and preservation standards. Restoration is not repair, and confusing the two can permanently damage historic structures.
Owner‑Builder Education
Straightforward, experience‑based insight for homeowners managing their own projects—what questions to ask, where problems typically occur, and how to spot red flags before money is wasted.
Women in the Trades
Advocacy, mentorship, and visibility for women working in construction. Texas Brick Lady™ supports skill, credibility, and earned authority—not token representation.
Industry Insight
Commentary on construction practices, jobsite coordination, scaffolding, OSHA realities, scheduling impacts, and how early decisions ripple through an entire project.
